Learner
Educators continually improve their practice by learning from and with others and exploring proven and promising practices that leverage technology to improve student learning.
The badge represents the AVID training I recently completed. AVID's mission is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. The AVID training presented strategies to use in CTE classes that build relational capacity, student agency, and opportunity knowledge. The training pushes me as a teacher as well as creates a community supporting student success.
Staying up to date with financial concepts and skills is important when teaching my personal finance elective class. I was able to attend a total of six of the 10 certification classes through NextGen Personal Finance so that I could build my foundational knowledge. With my completion of those 6 certifications I have become a Distinguished Educator.
This certification is for educators who have learned and now demonstrated the fundamental skills necessary to use Google’s tools in the classroom, this Level 1 certification validates standard technology implementation abilities.
