Collaborator
Educators dedicate time to collaborate with both colleagues and students to improve practice, discover and share resources and ideas, and solve problems.

Digital Portfolios are one way in which students share themselves with the global world. The image/link above shares the free Google drive from my district full of resources for creating a digital portfolio for all age ranges. The resources have been curated by several teachers and students. The rubrics I use in my classroom are created by students for use in guiding the portfolio process and grading it as a project.

This Padlet started several years ago as part of a presentation about tech tools in the math classroom. Padlet can be classified as a material generator. It can be used to collaborate with others in your building, district, or even globally. This is a way to share ideas, thoughts, or concerns. I refresh this Padlet every so often to see if math tech tools have updated or give reminders of what else to try. It is a collaboration between math teachers of all ages.

Symbaloo is one way to collaborate with students and colleagues. I use Symbaloo to share technology resources with colleagues. We spend time building a mix for students to easily access the needed sites for specific content. Students can also create mixes to share with each other or me.

This video provides an overview of what students can expect in my Digital Communications class. Students collaborate with each other and me to plan video projects. These films range from passions, interviews, PSAs, and requests from other teachers. This class is built on collaboration. My students work with all kinds of students or adults to problem-solve, learn new equipment or technology, and create a final product.
